Following on from my previous step-by-step Sapling Guide, in this video I explain how to get it from a plain white 3D model into a realistic tree. First I'll show you how to prepare the tree for texturing, then we'll create a procedural bark material. Finally, I explain how to get images for leaves for your trees and how to make those images into a material. I hope you find it helpful, comments welcome! Plugging the Specular into tint was dumb, wasn't thinking. Instead, make a glossy shader, add a mix shader and plug the BSDF in the top and the Glossy into the bottom, then use the Specular map as the factor. Now play with the roughness to increase or decrease the effect!
