ADF | Exercise Black Cutlass

Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, conducted Exercise Black Cutlass at Townsville Field Training Area and Cowley Beach Training Area in April and May 2025. The certification exercise involved small boat operations and reconnaissance, culminating in clearance of an enemy position in a jungle environment. Supported by 3rd Combat Engineer Regiment, 10th Force Support Battalion, 5th Aviation Regiment and 7th Signal Regiment, Exercise Black Cutlass ensured the battalion can continue to provide contingency forces.
