The Australian Army is rapidly accelerating its attack drone capability by conducting training of the “Modify and Operate Attack Drones (FPV)” courses at the Puckapunyal Military Area in Victoria. This course, combined with the “Employ Multi-role Drones” rapidly trains and prepares operators and teams to employ drones for a range of tasks including killing enemy personnel and destroying enemy assets in the contemporary battlespace. The training, conducted by instructors from the Land Combat College (LCC) and 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (2 RAR) to trainees from a wide range of combat and combat support units, will enable those completing the training to rapidly integrate and scale their multirole and offensive drone capability directly into their units and formations.
