ahiru | surrender is stronger

re-upload | originally uploaded august 2011 a princess tutu reupload! I don't remember why I took this one down. I think I just wasn't 150% satisfied with it at the time bc I'm forever a perfectionist lol. distance makes the heart grow fonder and all that though, I guess, because in recent years I've always rewatched this amv with much fondness. princess tutu will always hold a special place in my heart, and after all these years I still haven't come across another song that (imo at least) embodies ahiru so well. once upon a time I saw a star wars mv to this song and immediately was like, must make for ahiru lol. the title comes from the "surrender is stronger" lyric, the main theme being that it's easier to surrender than to go through with the harder alternative of being the hero. in ahiru's case, she needed to return the final heart shard to mytho but couldn't. the "cancer inside" would be her pendant and its secret. although she wants mytho to have his happy ending, she doesn't want to pay the "asking price." I have... /looks at smudged writing on hand/ two more videos to re-upload for sure, and then whatever else I find worthy of an audience as I clean through my old external hard drive lol.
