Ai Puns Explained

This video is for intermediate Ai Pun users — and those brave enough to pretend they understand them. (CC subtitles are available for Romaji.) We take all* of Ai's puns in the anime and break them into digestible, color-coded pieces. Text highlights show which sounds are being twisted, and shaded areas mark where words should break. This helps even if you can’t read the *gojūon* (Japanese syllabary) — though some kana knowledge is still recommended if you want to truly *groan* at Ai’s puns. We explain: * Where the word boundaries break * What meanings are being twisted * When Ai-san *really* stretches a joke and dares you to stop her Pause to read. Rewind to suffer.
