Week 6 of Air Force Basic Military Training is where mental toughness and physical endurance are put to the test. This is the week of Pacer and Forge — two of the most challenging evaluations in BMT. Pacer pushes you to meet strict physical fitness standards, testing your speed, strength, and stamina under pressure. The Forge, a 3–4 day field training exercise, simulates real-world combat conditions with tactical movements, ruck marches, and team-based problem-solving. You’ll operate in the field, adapt to unpredictable scenarios, and rely on your wingmen like never before. By the end of this week, you’ll have proven not only your capability as an Airman, but your resilience and readiness to serve.
