I created my own little disaster from operator error, not a problem with air pruning. I haven't found a downside to hanging root pouches, yet.
I show my technique for replanting with cuttings and sewing seeds directly in the hanging root pouches. I can replant the root pouch without removing or cleaning the system because there is no salt accumulation. Additionally any dead roots decompose aerobically since the pouch drains completely and never has any standing water. Root Rot is anaerobic decomposition.
