Architecture (1980)
by Al Jarnow
Music by Tom Perri
Assisted by Peter Crosman & Jim Quinlan
"A stop-motion opus made up of hundreds of hand-painted wooden blocks that takes the viewer through a brief history of architecture. Primitive structures evolve into larger buildings but are reinforced by animal figures meandering in and out of each edifice.
The film culminates in a growing Manhattan skyline where animals get replaced by buses and cars driving along a paved paradise."
