Alexa-enabled Smart Gate Opener for under $15

This is a quick, easy project to convert a spare gate opener to a smart-device, enabling me to activate our driveway gate using any mobile device or via Amazon's Alexa service. The only part that required purchasing was the WiFi Smart Relay module from eWeLink: https://tinyurl.com/y3vkogrx Additionally, you may want to purchase a micro-USB cord and power brick if you don't already have extras lying about. The whole project took about an hour from start to finish. I could have cut the time in half if I didn't mess around with recording it for instructional purposes. In the video I made the comment that I didn't know why the software used the term "inching" in one of the settings. I have since learned that inching is the proper term for pulsing a device such as a motor at full power for short durations in order to bring it up to speed without drawing a heavy load on the circuit. For our purposes, it simply means we're using the relay module as a momentary switch.
