Alianza, the Spanish word for “alliance” or “unity,” is an energetic Latin jazz composition that celebrates collaboration and musical connection. Composer Erik Morales blends driving percussion rhythms, syncopated horn lines, and rich harmonies to create a vibrant and engaging work for jazz ensemble. The piece draws inspiration from Afro-Cuban and salsa traditions while incorporating the excitement and power of contemporary big band writing.
