Allen Engineering / OPS INC has a wide variety of muzzle devices from the most famous brakes used on the Mk12 program to the new flash hiders. Each one has its pros and cons when it comes to suppression and flash hiding.
The brakes are great with the suppressor since they vent gas backwards into the reflex section. Without the suppressor it tents to shoot very flat but has a lot of flash.
The bird cage flash hiders tend to do alright with the suppressor since it vents gas to the side. However it is a major improvement without the suppressor with flash hiding.
The pronged flash hiders don't do great with the suppressor since it vents gas forward, bypassing the reflex section. However they also perform very well with flash hiding without the suppressor.
