The test is built, run, and evaluated entirely by Allen firefighters, no outside agency, using tasks that simulate actual firefighting work, from hose drags and ladder climbs to tower carries and rescue scenarios. It’s a department-wide standard, taken by everyone from new hires to leadership, and it serves as a baseline to ensure every firefighter is physically and mentally ready to respond when the community calls.
