Amadou Diallo

I read the story of Amadou Diallo and I encourage everyone else to read it. But read multiple versions. He was unarmed, standing on the stoop of his apartment unlocking his door when Julianne's four undercover task force members approached him, looking for unlawful behavior instead of performing trained police work. But that's what Julianne's task force was charged to do, make arrests, not serve & protect. All four undercover officers opened fire, 41 shots, just a few feet from Mr. Diallo, who was trapped on the stoop of his apartment with his keys in his hand attempting to unlock his door. He was NOT ARMED in any way. The cover up that was later employed claimed he met the description of a rape suspect, but Mr. Diallo failed to fit ANY suspect description of any crime. The case was open & closed; they had murdered Mr. Diallo. But that fact didn't support Julianne's task force. Instead, it brought into question the use of his task force, and Julianne wasn't having that. So, the case was transferred to Albany, NY, where all four were acquitted. Forty-one shots, 41 shots, unarmed man who never resisted at all, and per witnesses didn't realize he was a suspect or that they were the police. Multiple witnesses claimed he was smiling at them when they asked him to turn from facing his door that he was unlocking. He had no idea; they simply began firing 41 shots from no more than five feet from him. Mr. Diallo had come to New York to attend school. He first had secured a job and was working, saving to put himself through college. The plan was he would earn his degree, then help his younger brother get his degree. Mr. Diallo was killed by Julianne's Task Force, then that task force was obviously protected to save face for Julianne.
