a.Maker - Toxic Live Set (Spring 2026)

This is my first ever live set, and honestly, it’s been a long time coming. Over the past couple of years I’ve been deep in the learning side of things. I studied composition, sound design, & mixing at the School of Electronic Music in 2022 & 2023. Then, I returned to college, studying electronic music performance at Manchester Electronic Sound School in 2025. This set is really the result of all of that coming together. Exploring my sound in the dubstep and drum & bass genres, I have built everything from the ground up. Drum synthesis, drum patterns, bass sounds... all with a bit of orchestral & cinematic influence in there too. I’ve always loved the energy of heavy electronic music mixed with the emotion of strings. My idea moving forward is that this video, is the first of many. I want to use these live sets as a space to test new ideas, experiment, and evolve my sound over time. The set features my track “Toxic” (already released), along with a couple of unreleased tracks that I’m really excited about. It’s also my first time performing like this, & all of this equipment is new to me. I have built a pretty complex routing setup in Ableton to make this possible, so this set is as much about figuring things out as it is about performing. Big shoutout to Alex Stewart for filming this, an aspiring videographer who absolutely smashed it. Also thank you to Lola Lynx & Sienna Skye for the amazing lighting! I had a lot of fun making this.
