An elderly couple, living off grid for over 15 years, decided to install micro hydro power to use as a renewable power source. This system provides over 500w of power to a cabin in the woods. A 4" penstock supplies over 100 gallons of water per minute to a Permanant magnate alternator. Then a charge controller, inverter, and battery setup powers the home breaker box.
