AMKW PEON!!

Hey everyone! Lycan_Blades here! And in todays video I give you the long awaited PEON! I have been so excited to get this video made and am happy to have it out! AMKW notes. Yeah I'm just going to do this in a voice message because it'll probably just be easier. Um hopefully you know it works with you and you can just kind of try and regurgitate anything that you want. Um but the only thing that I would really just you know ask that you say is that you you really you send home that it's a prototype and then there won't be more like that. Um so the the blade on that peon was actually like an old aeon blade that I had made. Um we were trying like really lightweight ions because that was like a big thing with the tie-on was just it was like overall pretty heavy to begin with. So a lot of people preferred lighter. So, we were trying to figure out how do we do that. Um and unfortunately, with the handle, weight on the Aeon, when we lightened up the handles, it just became too light to work with the heavier blades that work with the tie handles. So, because of that, we needed have like specific blades for lighter weight builds and that blade that's on yours was originally an Aon blade but that blade was actually too light. Um so it didn't really work on a on handles at all. If that makes sense. Um so yeah. That's what that one was. Um and yeah your handles are legit peon handles. Those are exactly how we're running them now. Um the only difference being the finish on your handles are just raw machine finish that we anodized. Um we think we deburred a bit but other than that, it's pretty much, you know, machine finished, like a satin almost and then yeah, so you can see the color is very shiny. Um unfortunately, we're not going to be doing that just because of inconsistencies with anodizing right now. In the future, we'd love to kind of you know, do some glossy anos but right now, the blasted method that we're doing right now is working decent. Uh we just have to come get a little bit more experience with aluminum anodizing because it's a very, very, very different process compared to you know, AMDs and titanium which a lot of people are are well versed in. Um but yeah and then I don't recall what spacers were actually on yours. Um but yeah, all peons when they release, they're going to be releasing at Blade Show Atlanta. Um the peon comes with aluminum spacers to begin with. Um and then we'll be off like upgrade paths for the spacers if you want to you know pick up some carbon fiber spacers or some tie spacers or any of that stuff. Um so yeah that's how that's going to work. Um but that's about it for yours. So like I said you have legit peon handles on a V one Aeon blade. And the normal peon is going to run on straight eighth inch Zen pins. Um if you actually at yours. Um you'll see that they're on shoulder pins. Same kind of shoulder pins you find on like a rep. Um they're a little bit thicker compared to RepZen pins but yeah that works to like utilize Vone blades on the new V two Aeon platform and stuff like that. So, yeah, I don't know if that any of that's really important for your video but you know, like I said, just try and You know, let people know that it's a it's a prototype that you know, if they go to try and buy one in the future, they're never going to get that one and that's just how that goes and that the the Peon will be releasing at Blade Show Atlanta in June. Um but yeah, I appreciate you doing the video and appreciate you liking it enough to do a video on it and yeah, it should be cool, man. So, let me know if you need anything else specifically but yeah, that's kind of all I've really got. Oh and I guess afterthought. Um I don't know if you want like backstory on why the peon even came about. Um I don't know if you are just doing the video on the peon or if you want it to be like an informational kind of thing. But the peon basically came about we were trying to get Aeon Blades made. We had a whole big batch of S 35 Aon blades. Basically get undersized surface grinding. Um and we were like damn that's like you know a decent amount of money. That's basically lost Um it would have been enough Aeon blades to basically finish off all the and handles we had which was like 40ish builds or something.
