An afternoon at Sragi, Central Java, Indonesia, 1999

This video was taken by the late Nigel Lawrence who had joined my annual tour group to Java in 1999. The first half shows the big locos BMAG 0-10-0T 6 and 7 and Hartmann 0-8-0T 16 on yard duties on 5th August and the second half shows Jung 0-8-0 17 which had been reallocated from Comal to Sragi specifically to work the Tegalsuruh line to the south of the mill which was known to be in poor condition and unsuitable for heavier locomotives. The video shows making up a train and its short journey back to the mill later the same afternoon.
