In this video I demonstrate how to tie the Anchor bend, also called the Fisherman's bend. Although the name would imply it is a knot used to join two pieces of rope together, this is not so. This knot is a hitch used to attach rope onto objects.
The knot is demonstrated as number 1723 in The Ashley book of knots.
The Anchor bend is secure, easy to tie and remember.
