Animated Cartoon Using Canva and ChatGPT
How to Create an Animated Cartoon Character with Canva and ChatGPT This fun little video-making feature is great for creating custom video clips that stop the scroll. It takes less than 10 minutes to create and is so cute! Here’s how I made this one. ChatGPT 1. Login to ChatGPT 2. Under the prompt box, click Create an Image 3. Click Auto and choose your aspect ratio. I used 1:1 to make a square video. 4. Enter your prompt. I used: a. make a 3d cartoon girl with brown hair wearing a purple dress walking a brown dog on a path with an outdoor background Make the aspect ratio 1:1 5. Once the image is created, download it. 6. I then prompt ChatGPT to write a short script for the graphic. The prompt I used was: a. act like this little girl is talking to her dog and write a short script (less than 5 seconds) b. I modified the script to use my dog’s real name…Bailey. Next, login to Canva 1. From the home screen, click Video and choose the aspect ratio you want. Mine is square. 2. Upload the graphic you downloaded from ChatGPT. Drag it into the video box. 3. Click the image, then click Edit and choose Image to Video. 4. Choose the Custom tab, and enter what you want the video to do. In my case, I wrote: a. Make the girl walk forward and talk to her dog. 5. Click Generate 5-second video. Wait about 30 seconds. 6. Click Add video to Design. 7. Click the play button to see how it looks. Audio File You can create your own audio file and upload it to Canva. Or you can use an AI tool to generate it. That’s what I did. I used Veed.io, a paid tool I have in my tech stack. Login to Veed.io 1. From the home screen, choose Generate Talking Head Video. 2. Click Start with a Script and paste in the text you want. 3. Click Generate. 4. Now I’m going to choose my character. I chose Paige (by adding character) because she had a young-sounding female voice. I didn’t care what she looked like because I only needed the audio file. 5. Click the play button to hear how it sounds. Modify the character, speed, text, etc. to meet your need. 6. When you’re ready to download it, click the Voice Only box. The audio file will be generated. Click Done. Complete the Video 1. Go back to Canva. 2. Open your design. Click the Uploads button, then upload the MP3 files you downloaded from your audio source. 3. Drag the audio file under the video graphic. 4. Boom! You’ve created a cute, animated cartoon video.
