Around 1:15 am we were awoken to a loud commotion. We jumped out of bed to investigate. My son Alec shinned a light out of his bedroom window to the coop and saw the mess.
He grabbed one of his guns and cleared the scene to allow us to investigate and create a temporary fix.
I lost one chicken that I know of for sure. One of my originals who was 12 or 13 years old. Another chicken was out roaming and may have been harmed with the amount of lost feathers. We were able to gather her up and get her back into the coop.
