Another garden project

The previous owner of this property, I’m not sure who because according to our neighbors across from us said the house was sold several times before us. The house was built in 1990, so it had seen many years before us. When we bought the property, the deck was rotting so Ben painted it with the left over paint we had to prevent further rotting. I tried decorating it with plants, outdoor furniture and such but it still didn’t satisfy my expectations. Then we discovered that a feral or stray neighborhood cat had babies underneath the deck. Six kitties! They were probably about a month or two months old because they were already playing, running and climbing up the deck. They were very elusive and they hide when they see us. I started leaving food for them and I set up cameras to see what they were doing. Until one day they were gone! I’m not sure if mama cat took them to other place or as much as I hate thinking about it, eaten or killed by other wildlife. So, to prevent another cat making the deck as her new crib for her kitties, Ben demolished it. The previous owner probably spent hundreds of dollars on it but as it gotten older, it just became an eyesore for me and I envisioned another good location for a small sitting area. So we’ll see how it will turn out.
