ANOVA One way | F Test Coding Method | Problem & Solution | Hypothesis Testing Statistics Steps to Follow for ANOVA One-Way Coding Method Step 1: State the null and alternative hypothesis Step 2: Sum of squares for total variations; (Sum of squares of all elements)-(Square of the sum of all the elements divided by the number of elements) Step 3: Sum of squares for variation between the samples; (Sum of the Square of the sum of each sample divided by the number of elements in the sample)- (Square of the sum of all the elements divided by the number of elements) Step 4: Sum of squares within the samples; (Sum of squares of all elements)- (Sum of the Square of the sum of each sample divided by the number of elements in the sample) Step 5: Prepare the One-way ANOVA table including SS between, SS within, SS total, corresponding degrees of freedom, MS between, MS within, F-ratio, Step 6: Find the F-limit from the F-distribution table. Step 7: Compare the value of F Test with F-limit; ►If F-ratio comes out less than F-limit then we can’t reject the null hypothesis ►If the F-ratio comes out greater than F-limit then it implies the null hypothesis needs to be rejected.
