Answer to the eigenfunction question - the coherent state

The answer to the question raised in https://youtu.be/SAObuVbdSqI - do raising and lowering operators of the harmonic oscillator have eigenfunctions? The former does not, while the latter do! In the answers to the other questions (to follow) we will see how important the lowering operator eigenstates are.
