Anthropic Just Released Claude Code Ultraplan

Anthropic just released Ultraplan for Claude Code, a new planning workflow that pushes coding agents further into structured cloud-based execution. Instead of keeping everything trapped inside a live local terminal session, Ultraplan lets Claude build and refine plans in the cloud, route them through the web, and hand them back for implementation or continue execution from there. That changes the feel of agent work from constant manual prompting toward a more separated planning layer where strategy can happen before code gets touched. This matters because it moves Claude Code closer to a system that can think through bigger engineering tasks with more structure, more review, and more flexibility in where the work happens. It adds a stronger bridge between terminal-native workflows and remote planning, which is a real signal for where AI coding tools are heading next. As these systems get better at planning before acting, the gap between simple code assistants and more autonomous development agents keeps getting smaller.
