Pressurized external barrier fluid reservoir or system supplying clean fluid to the seal.
Purpose
- Seal chamber heat removal.
- Provides for zero leakage of the pump fluid.
- Can operate at pressure below atmospheric.
- Provides lubrication to the seal faces independent of the pump fluid.
- Provide cooling, lubrication and load support to both sets of seal faces.
- Removes heat from the secondary seal chamber.
