Apocalypse Chic
I just loved the idea in one of my last songs to face the end of the world in style, so I stayed with that theme for my next metal song. A musically more fast and heavy piece than some of the others Lyrics: Packed my bag with gold And a little bad news Skies fell down today So I wore my best shoes Black coat, clean cuffs Smile like I planned it If the world goes crack Baby, we can dance it Take my hand Hold it steady If the ground shakes We stay ready One more look At the glowing sky Then we laugh And walk right by Apocalypse in style (Style, style) We look too good to cry (Too good, too good) Apocalypse in style (Style, style) Baby, we survive And we do it with a smile Got a red umbrella For the falling ash Champagne in a flask And a little cash Windows all gone Still the frame looks fine We make a runway Out of warning signs Take my hand Hold it steady If the ground shakes We stay ready One more look At the glowing sky Then we laugh And walk right by Apocalypse in style (Style, style) We look too good to cry (Too good, too good) Apocalypse in style (Style, style) Baby, we survive And we do it with a smile If the big dark comes Let it find us dressed Pearls on my throat And my heart at rest No panic here Just a polished glow When the whole thing ends We still steal the show Apocalypse in style (Style, style) We look too good to cry (Too good, too good) Apocalypse in style (Style, style) Baby, we survive And we do it with a smile
