Skip to time 1:54, for examples. Note (point of confusion): take 'x' to be that value being inputted into function, the standard (known) value close to your question 'x' being asked. Approximations can be done for many types of computations; in this video we are limiting it to taking roots. Normally students are not aware of the ability of using a "differential" for cool applications. (do not confuse this for the Newton's method) The purpose of the channel is to learn, familiarize, and review the necessary precalculus and trigonometry/geometry topics that form a basis for calculus (with a focus on functions). Calculus topics include limits, derivatives, integrals, formula derivations, derivations/proofs, area/volumes of curves and calculus applications.
