Are Most Men Secretly Bisexual?
Vlogmas Day 2 There’s been a wave of stories online: women discovering their partners living secret double lives, or men quietly coming out as bisexual after years of dating women. & it raises the question: Are most men secretly bisexual? Let’s be honest: when it comes to men’s sexuality, we don’t tell the full story. We pretend it’s simple. You’re straight or you’re gay, and anything in between is… confusing, suspicious, or something people just joke about. So a lot of men who feel attraction to more than one gender end up keeping it private, like it’s some secret side of themselves that doesn’t fit anywhere. But the thing is, it’s not because these men are confused or sneaky or living double lives. It’s because they grew up in a world that told them very early on that there’s only one “correct” way to be a man. And everything outside of that softness, emotion, vulnerability, and especially desire for other men gets treated as dangerous territory. That’s patriarchy. the pressure to seem “manly enough,” the way people react the second a man admits he’s curious about anything outside the norm. Patriarchy doesn’t just shape how women are seen; it shapes what men are allowed to admit about themselves. So a lot of men split their lives into two parts. There’s the public version the one that checks all the boxes, keeps things tidy, doesn’t give anyone a reason to question him. And then there’s the private version the thoughts, the fantasies, the experiences he doesn’t talk about, because he’s learned that saying them out loud could cost him everything. Respect. Relationships. His whole image of himself. & thats where DL men come into play. The problem isn’t bisexuality. The problem is the tiny box we put masculinity in. A box that says: you can be strong, but not too soft. You can be sexual, but only in certain directions. You can be honest, but not that honest. But let’s unpack this & talk more about it. #gay #lgbt #tiktok #viral #bisexual
