Are you using the wrong Bb fingering?

Controversial...warning..personal opinion...sort of sorry but also not sorry....because I think it does make some good common sense. We essentially have 3 different Bb fingerings and often I see students really shooting their technique in the foot by using the wrong Bb in the wrong situation. Often, when students are learning how to play Bb, they misunderstand or are told the wrong thing. The flute is challenging enough without putting unnecessary obstacles in your way.
