One of my favorite hobbies is looking for arrowheads and other artifacts left behind by the Native Americans that came before us. I love history, especially the Native American history in my area. It's been 9 months since I have been out this way so I'm very eager to do some looking. When I find one of these points, I can't help but think about the person who made it and all the history this point has gone through to end up in my hand. Holding a stone point is like holding a direct line to our past. It is out of pure respect and admiration of these Native peoples (Lipan Apache and Comanche) and their way of life that my interest lies.
