Wiesel (kind of) with an articulated wing and no elevons in 15 kts of wind.
Experimental variant of the "Speedster DEN" Wiesel. This one uses a different airfoil (PW51) and has a hinge running through the wing left to right. 9g servos bend the wing and provide control.
The forward hinge was a 4mm carbon fibre rod attached to the fuselage inserted in a 6mm tube glued into each of the wings. The rear hinge was a 5mm carbon fibre rod rubberbanded to the wing, see video.
It flew, but not like I had hoped. I had hoped for something with an insane roll rate and a loop radius of nothing, but in the end it flew like a Wiesel. Also, because the wings were not glued to the fuselage the whole things was a bit fragile.
