Arts Elevate FINAL

Arts Elevate is the Greater Lowell Community Foundation's comprehensive initiative to improve wellness and strengthen communities through creative engagement across the Greater Lowell region. Developed through GLCF's participation in the Barr Foundation's Creative Commonwealth Initiative, which supports strengthening arts and culture across Massachusetts, Arts Elevate operates on the principle that when people engage in art, they discover what they are capable of, who they are, how they belong, and how they contribute to the world around them. The program addresses rising levels of stress and isolation among adolescents by providing timely and accessible pathways to wellness through arts participation — and is now expanding to serve veterans and seniors as well. Arts Elevate is built on three interconnected pillars: Embedded Community Artists, Arts Equity Grants, and a Professional Development Training and Networking Series. The Greater Lowell Community Foundation developed Arts Elevate with lead funding from the Barr Foundation’s Creative Commonwealth Initiative, which supports strengthening arts and culture across Massachusetts.
