Arts@theIntersection is the Farnsworth Art Museum’s year-long arts integration program that focuses on building relationships and collaborative problem solving. We do so by connecting local classrooms to the museum and our community through the arts. In its inaugural programming year, Arts@theIntersection partnered with six middle and high school classrooms between community organizations, and Maine-based working artists. Each programming year culminates in a student exhibition, on display in the museum’s Craig Gallery.
The highly collaborative and student-centered nature of our partnerships fosters projects that reflect the unique interests and curiosities of each student group.
