Ash & Walnut Segmented Bowl
I had some ash left over from another project and decided to turn it into a segmented bowl. It seemed rather plain so I added a walnut ring to the top. After it was finished it still looked kind of plain so I painted the outside. I know some of you will disagree with painting a turning or any wood for that matter. This however, is a utility bowl that will reside on my kitchen counter filled with fruit so giving it some color made sense to me. I liked the finished product and still had some ash left over so I made another one. This one was painted red. Now I have two that can, as we used to say in the Navy, stand port and starboard duty. The painting aside, I hope you enjoyed watching the video. Comments are always welcome.
