ASMR Whisper: Preparing Scientific Samples

Hi guys! In this video I share with you some of the work I'm doing for my research. Specifically, I'm preparing soil samples for a kind of analysis called isotope-ratio mass spectrometry, which provides information about the elements found in the soil. The sample preparation requires fairly careful, precise measurements, and I thought it might be tingly/relaxing to watch. I hope you enjoy it! I strongly recommend listening to this video with headphones for the best experience :) ----- What's ASMR, and why am I whispering? ----- I whisper in my videos because they're designed to trigger a sensation called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a very specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep.
