Astronomy Power Options

Here we review the different options for powering all of our astronomy gear whether at home or out in the field. All astronomy equipment requires DC power, most typically 12V. In this video I show how to replace the multiple AC inverters typically used to power mounts, cameras, etc. with a single regulated DC supply like those from Pyramid when at home. For power in the field we discuss the differences between using a small Lithium power supply from TalentCell, a stand alone LiFePO4 battery like those from Ampere Time (Li Time) or a portable power station like the ones from Jackery with DC, AC and USB power built in.
