Why have we been focusing on qualifications recently? Qualifications (Quals) are a baseline metric that organizations set for their personnel. Some organizations have high standards that are rigorously enforced, others live on the line between professional and casual. Quals are a necessary baseline that provide foundational skills for novices and allow experts some ability to demonstrate theirs skills.
