At approximately 3:56 PM, Monrovia Fire Department and mutual aid agencies responded Code 3 to a residential structure fire in Monrovia. Upon arrival, E101 gave the initial report of smoke and flames showing from the roof on the Charlie side and established that it was an attic fire. Crews were able to handle after a roof collapse and the fire was eventually knocked down. As the incident was unfolding, an LA County Fire helicopter was flying over and decided to circle a few times to monitor the scene.
