The last basic triad in music that we need to learn about is the augmented triad. Again, this is not particularly common but allow us to create some interesting harmonies.
An augmented triad can be created by stacking two major third intervals.
It can also be created by choosing a note on the keyboard, counting up four notes, playing the note you land on, counting up four more notes and adding this note to the chord. Then you've made you augmented triad!
