On the eleventh day of my 1993 summer vacation, I arrived on the Hawaiian island of Maui on a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Hilo, Hawaii. I then visited the Iao Valley. Next I drove to Kaanapali Beach and checked into the Westin Maui Hotel.
