To authenticate Salesforce in Visual Studio Code (VS Code), you will need to install the Salesforce Extension Pack and set up an authenticated connection to your Salesforce organization. Here are the steps to do this: ----------------------------------------------- Install the Salesforce Extension Pack in VS Code: Open VS Code and click on the extension's icon on the left side of the window (the square icon with the lines on it). In the search box, type "salesforce" and press Enter. From the list of extensions, select "Salesforce Extension Pack" and click "Install". Set up an authenticated connection to your Salesforce organization: Open the Command Palette by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Command+Shift+P (Mac). Type "sfdx" and press Enter. Select "SFDX: Authorize an Org" from the list of options. Follow the prompts to log in to your Salesforce organization and authorize the connection. Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to use the Salesforce Extension Pack to access and manage your Salesforce organization from within VS Code.
