Auto-Pilot

The great little town I spent my adolescent youth in is called East Point, so named because in the 1870’s, it was the eastern terminus of the Atlanta & West Point Railroad. The city remained vital to the transportation industry throughout my youth as it was just north of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Consequently, many of my friends and classmate’s parents worked for an airline or at the airport…and, as we all grew to “employment age”, so many ended up with careers in the airline industry as well, most eventually relocating south of the airport. My late-night, sofa jam last night found me in a “peaceful traveler” kind of groove, so I dedicate it to all my friends and former East Pointers who are working or retired from the airline industry. I call it, “Auto Pilot”.
