AutoCAD: Area Command for Square Footage

An understanding of square footage is necessary for designing and drafting floor plans. The AREA command in AutoCAD provides the ability to measure and compute square footage. In this video three methods are demonstrated for calculating square footage using the Area command. Method #1: using pick points to define a closed loop. Method #2: using a polyline in conjunction with the Area command. Method #3: how to subtract smaller areas within a larger defined space.
