Automata-maker Geert Hautekiet presents his Automata-Carrousel: an artistic installation appealing to people from 1 tot 101 years of age. Several lodges - each with an own peep-show-window - around a slowly rotating carrousel filled with automata. These are fully mechanical storytelling machines created with recycled wood and a sense of humour. They all understand poetry.
This installation premiered in Nantes (Frances) on the site of 'Les Machines de l'ale' en passed on in its first summer tour Belgium (Zomer van Antwerpen), The Netherlands (Festival Boulevard) and London (UK, GDIF).
This installation can tour internationally because there is no language needed.
