Automated brochures layout in CorelDraw

The Reproscripts Brochure Layout plugin is designed for quick and easy automatic brochure imposition in CorelDraw. Let's take an 8 page brochure design. Since all pages of the brochure are located on the same page of the document, we use the Reproscripts Spread Through Pages plugin. It will automatically determine the borders of each page from the list of standard sizes in the settings and move their contents into a new document. Each page of the brochure is now on its own page and the brochure is ready to be laid out. Let's launch the plugin and create a new project, the current active brochure document will be assigned as the source document for layout. The default setting is to generate a saddle stitch with a 3 millimetres bleed. We just have to choose the settings of the printing press and specify the format of the printing paper. The plugin will automatically detect the list of inks used on all pages of the brochure. Everything is ready for the layout - let's launch the project. Within a few seconds, the plug-in will form a layout of the brochure on the printed sheet with the required sequence of pages for saddle stitch binding. The layout contains all the elements specified in the settings of the project and the selected printing press - register crosses, trim marks, control scales. In our example, we use the settings for an offset press, but you can also easily configure the plugin to work with digital presses as well. All plugin settings are saved and can be loaded later and, if necessary, adjusted. For example, if we decide to change the binding type to cut and stack, then it will be possible to create a new layout in a few clicks.
