The video is demonstrating the submerged arc welding machine. The welding is being accomplished on the pipe. The pipe is fixed on a beam. The flux in the form of sand is first put on the surface where the welding is to be done. The Mig torch with the wire electrode then moves forward. The power source is preset with the parameter according to the size and thickness of the metal. The metal is welded with the Mig arc which creates a weld zone at the site. The weld zone created by the arc which gives the heat. The flux helps to prevent oxidation and acts as a shielding agent.
