Automatic Toothbrushing Machine for Measuring and Analyzing Brushing Efficiency
I developed an innovative system to analyze the efficiency of various toothbrushing techniques and products under the guidance of Research Assistant Ömer Can TOLUN. The project aimed to design and prototype an automatic toothbrushing machine that simulates brushing processes with adjustable parameters such as pressure, duration, and iteration count. The system also features a user-friendly interface, allowing dentists to evaluate and optimize brushing techniques for different dental structures. The machine is currently being used at Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry, where it supports both research and practical training. This interdisciplinary project involved mechanical design, electronics development, and software integration to ensure accurate and repeatable results. The machine provides a robust platform for dental research, contributing to better oral health awareness and offering practical applications for both clinical and academic purposes.
