This video is a part of my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner course: https://www.awswithchetan.com/courses/AWS-Certified-Cloud-Practitioner Attach an EBS volume to EC2 instance 1. Launch 2 EC2 instances in different AZs (Amazon Linux, t2.micro) 2. Create new EBS volume and attach to instance 1 3. Mount volume in the instance 1 at /mnt/mydisk or any other directory 4. Create some files on the volume (/mnt/mydisk/test) 5. Take volume snapshot 6. Unmount volume 7. Detach volume from AWS console. (Optionally Delete the volume) 8. Create new volume from snapshot and attach to instance 2. (Do not format the disk again. It has fs already) 9. Mount it inside instance 2 10. Check if you can see same file there If you like my videos, please check out my content here for more hands-on exercises: https://www.awswithchetan.com/courses/AWS-VPC-and-Networking Happy learning ! ~Chetan Email: [email protected]
