Back to the future is an awesome movie! They travel through time to the past and the future. The Future date they visit is 21st October 2015, TODAY!!!!
The movie is iconic and introduced the world to the Hoverboard and many kids (including myself) to flying cars. It literally inspired generations of people. Written by Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis (who also directed it), ideas about the future were presented, which can now be compared with our own world.
The movie came out at a particular time in world history and allowed us to reflect on how things were in the present (1985), by looking at how things were (1955, 1885), and how things might become (2015), as well as how things could've been worse (1985 Dystopia).
