Bamia/Bamia with Beef/Bamia Daging
A Middle Eastern stew prepared with okra, beef, tomatoes and onions as main ingredients. It is also popular among the Malay/Arab community in Malaysia and Singapore, usually served with rice or bread during family gatherings. Bamia simply means okra or lady's finger, a vegetable commonly found in warm and tropical countries. It is rich in anti oxidants, magnesium, folate, and Vitmins A,B6,C and K. Okra tends to get slimy when cooked. To prevent this, fry in oil or roast in the oven until cooked.
